  • Industry Partners: Trusted third parties such as real estate lawyers, mortgage brokers (e.g., Mortgage Alliance), home inspectors, and staging professionals, but only with your explicit consent to facilitate your transaction.
  • Regulatory Bodies: We are legally mandated to provide transaction records and client identification data to the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) for compliance audits, and to FINTRAC to comply with federal anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing legislation.

5. Mandatory Data Retention

Under RECO regulations and provincial law, real estate brokerages are legally required to retain all trade records, representation agreements, and transaction-related communications for a minimum of six (6) years following the completion or collapse of a real estate transaction. Even if you request data deletion, we are bound by law to securely archive these specific regulatory documents for the mandated statutory period.

We employ rigorous digital, physical, and administrative safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. Access to your personal real estate files is restricted solely to the Broker of Record and authorized brokerage personnel directly involved in your file.
